  • Incheon airport

Passing through Incheon aiport (Korea) on my way to HK, and I must say that it's the most impressive airport I've seen.

First of all, the interior is like a gigantic mall - there are too many restaurants and brand name stores to count! And they're not all the same stores at every corners: there's actually a good variety of stores to keep one busy for a good hour or two. Next, they have these tech show spots that look like mini conventions - although that may be something temporary. And then there's the free cultural expeirence thing that they're advertising as the plane was arriving. It's not a huge gig, but it's very unique and something that I haven't seen anywhere else. There was a live mini concert with traditional Korean instruments. The music was beautifully unique.

Looking forward to my return trip already. ^^

  • A story begins...

He had seen her around a few times, usually in the morning, at the bus station. She isn't exactly beautiful, but she has a peaceful face. He didn't take notice at first, until one time he saw her smile. There's something in that smile that caught his attention, but he's not sure what it is. It's almost... Mona Lisa-like. He wanted to go up and say hi to her, but couldn't find the courage to do so. "I don't want her to think I'm a weirdo," he thought to himself, "nobody talk to strangers nowadays."
Then a few months later, on a rainy night, as he stepped out from the bus at the stop near his home, he noticed she was getting off too. He also noticed that she didn't have an umbrella. While they were waiting for the lights at the cross walk, he finally gathered up some courage and offered the vacant half of his umbrella.
"Oh thank you," she said, with a bright smile.
    He smiled back.
They chatted a little on the 15 seconds walk across the road.
    "Which way do you live?"
"I live just over there," he pointed to his right.
"Oh, I'm going that way," she said, pointing ahead of her.
    "Do you need an umbrella?"
"It's alright. I'll be OK," she smiled a grateful smile.
"Alright. You have a good evening then."
    And they parted ways.
He wanted to ask her for her name, but did not want to scare her.
    "I'll see her tomorrow morning."

  • Final boss (special level)

Golden Ears Trail: West Canyon parking lot to summit of North Ear. Hiking trail only (12 kilometres; suggested time: 7 hours; elevation change: 1,500 metres). Follow the West Canyon Trail from the parking lot to Alder Flats. Beyond Alder Flats the trail switchbacks upward on an old logging road then heads steeply uphill to Panorama Ridge. Most of the elevation gain is made in this stretch. Listen for the nasal squeak of pikas in the rock slides. Impressive view of Pitt Lake to the west and mountains to the east and north are possible from Panorama Ridge. The ascent of the North Ear is made from the left (east) side across a permanent snowfield. Extreme caution is advised and proper equipment is recommended. Drinking water may be scarce in dry weather between Alder Flats and the snowfield.

The round trip to Golden Ears is an overnight expedition for all but the fittest hikers.

Overnight camping areas are located at Alder Flats and on Panorama Ridge around the mountain shelter which, itself, can accommodate up to 8 people. Expect snow on Panorama Ridge into July. This trail is long and strenuous and should only be attempted by experienced, well-equipped backcountry travellers. No open fires are permitted in the backcountry.

    Where Is the Love

    This past weekend...

I had a few inspirational moments... without going into too much details:

    • I've still got a long way to go (ok maybe that's not new hahaha...).
    • Remember whom do I answer to, and what He is expecting.
    • There's a lot of people around me who needs more caring.
    • The opposite of "love" is not "hate", but "like", because you "like" the good things only, but you "love" regardless of the bad things.
    • Sometimes, people just need to rant and have someone to just listen to them. No need to try to say anything in response.
    • The only regrets are when you didn't do everything that you could've done.
    • I'm weaker than I already know.

That's a lot to digest over a weekend... but thankfully, He gave me the time and energy to do so.
